EPHESIANS 6:14

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place

TO PONDER:

So many times in our lives we face some real struggles. Even though we may not be familiar with putting on armour like a Roman soldier, Paul reminds us that as Christians we need to be prepared for the spiritual battle against Satan. 

Without Gods armour, Satan’s arrows start flying at us. We start questioning things we wouldn’t normally question. Our words and thoughts are twisted. We start listening to lies and our eyes and heart are taken off Christ.

That’s why we need to stand firm with the ‘belt of truth’ buckled tightly, we need to remember the promises we have in him and that he will be with us always with the breast plate of righteousness in place.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thankyou that you have clothed me with all I need to fight the daily battle. Help me to remember that Jesus is the Way and the Truth and the Life, and that through him you will never leave me to fight the battle against the evil one on my own. In Jesus name, Amen.
