Have you ever felt like an outsider? Small, insignificant, ignored, misunderstood and of little importance? Have you ever felt like you don't measure up or are not enough? Do you sometimes feel like you are constantly trying to prove yourself, not just to others, but to yourself and maybe even to God? Do you feel stunted in your growth, that life has cut you down to size? If you do, then your story mirrors that of many in the world who feel like they don't belong and don't have a place, who are crying out to be accepted and noticed. Whatever you see in yourself, or feel about yourself today Jesus wants you to know that he wants to be a part of your story. He will not pass you by. Today the story of Jesus intersects with your life, writing a new chapter in your story, so don't miss his call.

Whatever has made you short in stature, whatever has cut you down in life, Jesus sees more in you that you see in yourself. He comes and makes himself at home in your life and calls you into a new life filled with acceptance and love.

Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through.A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.

When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.

All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”

But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
