There is now no need to pre-register via 'events' on the LifeWay website. You can register on arrival by scanning the QR code available at the church entrance. The QR code is directly linked with the Service NSW app. Please download this app if you haven't already done so.
The Together for Ryde churches are looking to show God’s love in Ryde this Christmas. Here are two ways you could help do that:
- CREATE A FOOD BAG FOR SOMEONE IN NEED: Donate a bag of food and the Salvation Army will make sure it gets to those who need it most this Christmas. We’re looking to give 300 food bags away this year and we believe that the church of Ryde can make that happen. Attached here is a checklist on what your food bag could contain, but feel free to be creative. Imagine the joy you’ll bring to someone this year! Bag drop off is at Ryde Baptist Church, or ask your pastor if your church can collect them. Please do this by Sunday 12th December. Please ensure hampers contain only food items that are in date and nonperishable. If you have any questions please contact: [email protected]
- YOU COULD COLLECT MONEY FOR THOSE IN NEED: You could also be involved by collecting financial donations with the Salvos which go towards serving the city. We need volunteers to sit and collect donations at Top Ryde and Macquarie Shopping Centre for 2.5 hours at least once between the 8th and 22nd December. If you could volunteer for a slot that would go a long way in helping others. To serve email your name and interest in serving a collection station to Nora at [email protected] .
Thank you for sharing God’s love this Christmas.
We would like to bless and recognise our Pastors and LifeWay staff with our annual "Staff Christmas Gift" offering call. This is your opportunity to contribute to special "thank you" gifts recognising the dedication and hard work throughout this year. You can give through our website or app by selecting the option "Staff Christmas Gift", or alternately handing your offering to Shane Albances or Adam Brownett at Epping, Sabina Pichler at Newcastle or Martin Rowney at Wollongong. This call for offerings will close on the 13th December.
This year’s appeal is to raise money to purchase 10 computers for Pastor Vibol to run classes for the students in the village and teach them vital skills for this modern world. Most families in the rural villages do not have access to a computer, so as part of sharing the message of Jesus, our plan is to run after school classes for the children and maybe even for the adults. Be a part of sharing hope with the people of Kampong Thom this Christmas.
