Since graduating from Australian Lutheran College in 1995, God has led Jo-Anne and myself on a wonderful adventure – from six fantastic years in a rich, multicultural setting in Auckland, New Zealand, to 5 years in a large dynamic congregation in Loxton, S.A., to here at LifeWay in November 2006.  It’s here we intend to stay for many more years as we seek to help equip and empower people of all ages in living life fully as disciples of Jesus.  It’s a huge task and an awesome privilege but an adventure that we are enjoying immensely day by day!  Jo-Anne and I are proud parents of four great children.

Sharing Ministries Pastor

After 17 years working for a Christian publisher and bookshop, I went to Uni to study Education. I found great joy teaching music and PE at a Primary School for a number of years, until God led me in a different direction. I am now the Business Director at Australian Christian Resources, owned by LifeWay (www.ShopACR.com.au) which prides itself on equipping the church and enriching the lives of individuals. I am also the Sharing Ministries Pastor at LifeWay and am committed to modeling and living an active, caring faith. My main area of responsibility is leading and equipping our music ministry at LifeWay which includes our Mainly Music team. I’m married to Kaye, and have been for over 20 years, and have 3 boys.

I am  a recent graduate from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon where I studied to be a Director of Christian Education. LifeWay is my first official call. I have always felt a calling into ministry throughout my life even if I never really wanted to admit it in my younger years. My wife Annie and I met while doing music and youth ministry through Lutheran Youth Encounter in 2013 and have been happily married since 2014. I first came to LifeWay while on tour with the band New Vision while serving through Youth Encounter. Coming back has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. Music, discipleship, and youth & family ministry are some of my passions and gifts.

It is a blessing that I get to serve and follow Jesus with these gifts everyday.

God has blessed me with a passion for creating. I graduated in advertising/graphic design as well as garment construction, and while a full time mum, started my own dressmaking business. In 1995 my husband John and I moved from Adelaide to Sydney, with a young family, and became members here at LifeWay.

Since 2010 I have shared my creative gifts as LifeWay’s Visual Displays Coordinator, designing, creating and setting up worship displays for special & festive services, which people can visually enjoy & feel inspired by, in contemplation of God’s love for them.

In October 2014, God called me to take on a new challenge as the LifeWay Office Coordinator. I look forward to being able to share with you in Jesus’ love, hope and grace.

LifeWay has been my family’s church home since I was 9 years old.   I’ve always been creative, and after graduating from a degree in design, I began full-time work in the fashion industry, which inspired me to create my own leather accessories label – wiski. My current position here began as regular volunteer work in 2006, and as the church developed, so did my role. In 2010, I officially became part of the team, looking after all areas of graphic design and visual communication. Working between LifeWay, Wiski, and my graphic design business, Savvi Design, has me pretty busy but I love that it keeps my imagination and creativity alive.

Eva Leung

Pastoral and Community Care Chaplain

Born and raised in Hong Kong, I moved to Sydney in 1993 with my husband and daughter. I met Jesus in 1994 and I know He is still madly in love with me after all those years of highs and lows. He is my Saviour because He died on my behalf and gave me life. He is my Healer because he healed my body and soul. He is my teacher, teaching me how to love, how to see things through him, how to learn and communicate, how to create.  When I’m not at LifeWay, I make use of my Contemporary Arts degree by serving as an art teacher in the senior day-care centre and by holding private lessons. In early 2017, God led me down the path of chaplaincy and by his grace, I joined LifeWay as a Pastoral and Community Care Chaplain with a key role to be a bridge to the many Chinese who have moved into this community. With much thankfulness and humbleness, I look forward to the exciting journey ahead that God is guiding us on at LifeWay.

Annie Duarte

I jumped right into congregational life and ministry at LifeWay after moving to Australia from the United States in 2017. I am passionate about helping people recognize Jesus’ work in their everyday lives and seeing the transformation that comes from that. I graduated from Concordia University in Portland Oregon with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Theology. I’m married to Alex, and we love traveling and leading worship together. When I’m not at LifeWay I work with a mobile cafe ministry and drink way too much coffee.
