web page headerIt started 50 years ago, when Epping was accepted as a new member of the ELCA at its closing General Convention at Tanunda on 27 October 1966 held concurrently with the closing General Convention of the UELCA, also at Tanunda. The new Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA), held its first synodical session the next day, 28 October 1966, at which Epping was accepted as the first new congregation of the LCA.

Fifty years on, the former St. Mark’s, now LifeWay Lutheran Church continues to shine a light for the gospel and the LCA, adding another worship site in Newcastle, and in its 50th year, planting a new missional community on the Northern Beaches in Sydney. That’s worth celebrating!

We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary weekend of dreaming bigger and shining brighter.
